Dan & Brad’s
Dan & Brad’s Restaurant is where comfort food meets contemporary cuisine. Whether in a suit or jeans, guests feel at
home in our comfortable, upscale atmosphere.
The Story of Dan & Brad’s
Dan & Brad’s is where we want you to be comfortable, enjoying your time with friends and colleagues. Inspired by two brothers, Dan and Brad, who developed their enthusiasm for good food and drink from their childhood summers vacationing with their grandparents. Traveling between fishing trips in the Northwoods to the great museums around the country, each received inspiration in different ways. Dan, connecting with the rustic lifestyle of the fishing trips in the woods, moved to the country and fell in love with the simple, less complicated manner of rural living. Dan’s easy approach to food and the comforts of home are recreated here for you. Brad, on the other hand, enjoying all that the big city had to offer, moved to the big city and instantly developed a passion with the fast paced lifestyle and urban buzz that swirled around. Brad’s more refined and elegant approach to food is presented here for your enjoyment. Both brothers have a deep enthusiasm for the food they serve and offer their contrasting but complimentary menus for you to try: a selection from the city and country.
Our Menu
Dan & Brad’s unintimidating menu will take you on a trip from the city to the country. Enjoy a Midwest classic like fish & chips, made with fresh walleye. Or use your fork & knife to cut into our Mid Atlantic jumbo crab cakes or our Southwestern style shrimp & chicken pasta with an asiago cream sauce. Try something new, like roasted Brazilian country pork marinated with cachaca sauce, or an old favorite like a country cobb salad with sesame cilantro dressing.
Lunch specials take advantage of the freshest seafoods, meats, and produce. Special rotating menus include Fresh & Honest Eco-Inspired Cuisine from the imagination of Chef Peter Davis, known for his Fresh & Honest Cookbook.
For private dinners, you may choose from a wide selection of entrees, ranging from steaks and seafoods to salads and vegetarian entrees.

Meet The Chef
Dan & Brad’s Executive Chef Scott Jenkins brings 15 years of culinary experience to Dan & Brad’s Restaurant. Chef Scott is also Food & Beverage Director at the Hilton Arlington.
His cuisine is showcased perfectly in Dan & Brad’s menu. “The last thing I want is for a diner to be intimidated by our menu. We have all been to restaurants where chefs try to prove how smart they are and how much they know about food. Nobody wants to feel stupid, so I try to greet our guests with an appetizing, yet approachable, menu,” says Chef Scott. “I am certain everyone will find something they enjoy and they will be impressed by the outcome. Here at Dan & Brad’s, they will come away with a new appreciation for some old favorites as well as some tasty new combinations.”
Chef Scott’s background in Midwest cuisine is evident in favorites like the fish & chips with fresh walleye, as well as the apple crumble tart. On Dan & Brad’s menu, he mixes in some of his Mid-Atlantic regional favorites such as sea scallops accented with Virginia bacon and a crab cake sandwich, made with authentic lump crab meat.
Chef Scott holds an A.A. degree in culinary arts from the University of Minnesota and a B.S. in Hospitality & Tourism Management from University of Wisconsin-Stout. Chef Scott was a partner in Mona Lisa’s Restaurant in Eau Claire, Wisconsin before heading to the bright lights of Virginia. As Sous Chef with Omni Hotels in Richmond, Chef Scott beat out over 40 other chefs in Omni’s Ideal Nourishment Contest. Later, he spent 4 years as Executive Chef for 4 hotels in Washington’s Dulles Airport corridor.
Meet The Bartender
When Billy Joel sang “John at the bar is a friend of mine,” he could have been referring to bartender John Nguyen, who has greeted guests at Dan & Brad’s Lounge for 10 years. Frequent travelers and Arlingtonians alike have been captivated by John’s smile and easy-going demeanor, as demonstrated by the countless comments written in by Dan & Brad’s guests.
An accomplished artist, John brings the same flair to his cocktails that he does to the canvas. If you don’t know what you would like, just ask John. He will help guide the way. But we can’t promise he’ll “give you a drink for free”.
